Fall SUNDAYS: [10:30 am WORSHIP] / Adult Sunday Classes / Youth Class / Kid's Church

We are a spiritual family, and we have fun together - laugh and experience joy with us. Pastors Dr Bryan Stamper, Reverend Paul R. Gaedke, and our faithful staff create inspiring worship services, engaging discipleship opportunities, and meaningful mission events. Our faith is in God alone, with a priority on the Bible as the standard for faith and life.

Blanco BBQ Fellowship review

As you can see from the photo collage, we had a good time at our September Blanco BBQ luncheon. Between 40 to 50 San Pedroans gathered for fellowship, food and fun. Service was quick, so nobody had to stand around with an empty stomach.

There is a bit of controversy stirring between Pastor Paul and myself. In our opinion, there are in fact other places that have better brisket in town. Paul favors The Barbecue Station. My current favorite is Two Brothers BBQ Market. While I defer to Paul's culinary expertise, I think it's going to be difficult for anybody in town to change my mind.

There's only one way to settle it - another outing! As before, we'll announce when and where through the eNews - show up if you're available and pay for what you want. And for the record, we were in complete agreement that while the food was good, the company was even better! We love our San Pedro family.

Back to School Youth News

It was a fantastic summer for our youth group with tons of fun and memories to last a lifetime. The summer event schedule for youth was concluded with a swim party hosted by Pastor Paul this past Sunday afternoon and the kids had an absolute blast with lots of laughs and belly flops. As all our students are transitioning back to school for the fall, our youth group is also transitioning into fall programming. Something that has been very clear about this group is that they value a sense of community and closeness which is why we have chosen to build this program around the Scripture from 1 Thessalonians 5:11 which reads, "encourage each other and build each other up." With this verse at the center, our youth will be given opportunities to build each other up as they grow in knowledge through Bible studies, fellowship meetings, outreach events, acts of service, and leadership initiatives.

Youth Bible Study will continue to take place during the worship service on Sunday mornings and, in the fall, will be focused on the Old Testament providing foundational knowledge to our students.

Sunday afternoons from 4 - 6 pm beginning September 4th is the start of the youth fellowship and outreach program that will emphasize community and connectedness with more topic-based lessons that provide opportunities for our youth to invite their friends.

Wednesday Nights from 5:30 - 7 pm beginning September 14th is the start of the youth leadership program that gives students the opportunity to help lead the younger kids of our faith family during their Wednesday Night Kids program. This is an opportunity for any youth interested in developing leadership skills to do so alongside adult leaders while also receiving service hours.

There is much to be excited about for the fall youth program at San Pedro and as the school year starts and all of us become busier and busier, let us remember to take the time to encourage one another and build each other up.
