We are family
"Family" is the word we use to describe ourselves. We are folks with a special bond - people who know we need something bigger, better and more beautiful in our lives than what the world boasts about. We are large enough to support a full complement of ordained pastors and professional staff.
Founded in 1968, San Pedro started in a teen dance hall near the San Antonio airfield. Land was purchased (pictured) and our first building was constructed upon what is now a beautiful campus over many deer filled acres. Our current facilities at 14900 San Pedro Avenue are recently renovated and ready for new families. We are debt free.
At San Pedro you will find humble people who believe God's love flows to us as a gift of grace. When you're ready, try our monthly Newcomers Luncheon (RSVP required - DETAILS). Experience community within a great church family.
"Taste and see, the Lord is good." Psalm 34:8}
Dr Stamper started his call in March of 2021. He brings a wealth of experience to San Pedro that includes serving large churches throughout the United States. He, his wife Kerry and their two boys are new to San Antonio, and excited to serve.
Rev. Dr. Bryan Stamper
Pastor Paul has served the San Pedro family for 12 years. He is an accomplished soloist and musician, getting his start in the church through music. Paul has a wife, Gina, and two children in college and graduate school. Paul and his wife are very active in the San Antonio community.
Rev. Paul Gaedke
What to Expect
We offer an in person and online service at 10:30 am on Sundays. Expect beautiful sacred music, inspiring preaching from the Bible, and opportunities to respond in faithfulness to Christ. We worship in a relaxed traditional style as a family friendly church with resources for all ages - kids and students are excused for their own classes during the sermon. You'll find folks dressed up and dressed comfortably, wear what works for your family.
Park in either the front lot off 14900 San Pedro Avenue, or our back parking lot off Turtle Rock Drive. Our beautiful, multi-acre campus is easy to find in north/central San Antonio. If you're lucky, you'll encounter the herds of deer who frequent the large field beside our outdoor chapel.
Kids & Families
We’re here to incite awe in the next generation of believers through laughter, questions, and discovery. Our goal is for our kids to love Jesus and love being in Christ's church. From birth to Senior High, we invest in young lives through our facilities and staff: our facilities are safe, fun and comfortable for all ages, our staff hold degrees in education and childhood development.
San Pedro is a church rooted in the Reformed tradition. Our theology and faith practices emphasize the sovereignty of God, the election of believers for service and salvation, and the Word of God as the guiding principle for faith and life. Our pastors are ordained with master's degrees from accredited seminaries. Our Senior Pastor holds a doctorate degree.
Blessing our Community
We believe Christians are called to gather for worship and discipleship, then scatter for service and mission in God's creation. We nurture multiple opportunities for families and people of all ages to bless our San Antonio neighborhoods, larger city, and the world. We believe God calls us to generously share from our spiritual giftedness and material blessings.
